In [Yahoo Smileys] we covered how to insert Yahoo's own smileys into their email.. in this tutorial we're covering how to enter server based smileys.
login to your account as per the norm or via [Yahoo Mail] 
Inside the main window.. select Compose from the Navigation menu ..
the page should now be looking similar to graphic to the above..
NOTE: You need to have it set to PLAIN version NOT formatted. If you see the text as shown below then you have your settings correct :-)
If you can see this control panel you need to switch to Plain version..

Last setting change...
down the bottom of the text input window check the radio box beside html tags allowed
toddle back to the main body and type your message...
once you've finished that and are ready to insert your smileys minimize the Yahoo Mail window and launch a new browser window then head over to... [MySmilies.com] cruise around the site and find the smileys you want to include in your email.
The smilies available are coded for html use and for ubb use.. the coding your after is HTML.

Once you have found the smiley you wish to use..
left click once inside the text area (it will highlight blue)
the right click, select Copy
Maximize Yahoo Mail..place your cursor where you wish to insert the smiley, right click , select Paste
the code will be inserted... 
then just repeat the steps above until you have inserted all the smiley codes
where you wish to enter a line break use <BR>
to check how it's going to look hit the html preview link...
this will open in a new browser window ....
if everything is aok, close the preview window and hit send :-)
