are far to easy to forget
I have a notebook (HP Pavilion zd8000) that I use.. well, when I want to really. I don't generally check my mail on it, I don't want it spread it all over the place so I stick to checking it on my main computer but the other day I needed to download an email so that I could reply asap. Now setting up the email account in Outlook Express was a breeze as everything that I needed sprung to life from my old grey matter, pop and smtp settings, username and password...it all fell into place...right up until I wanted to leave a copy of the message on my server....
I knew that I knew it (if that makes sense
) but for the life of me I couldn't remember where the setting was... so basic.. so simple... yet so evasive! I stomped around the OE settings pulling my hair out and stabbing out my frustrations on my keyboard... still nothing sprung to life. I was so sure it was under Settings > Options so I continued to stomped back and forth and back and forth... 20 minutes later admitted defeat, gave up, and Googled it.
How simple! Setting Up Mail Servers in Outlook Express was just what I needed... in fact it took a fraction of of the time I spent having a tantrum than it did to Google it, read through the results and put the settings in place
for future reference...
