geek FireFox continues to grow...

Mozilla FireFox on me a little every day but every now and then some applications / links will cause Avant to spring into action taking control... and as such, out of habit (or lazyiness) I will retain and use it along side FireFox for the remainder of my day or until my next reboot... old habits die hard it seems.. and lazyness is a killer to beat © Mazeguy

Beware, FireFox does tend to sneak up on you... I'll be happily minding my own business plodding away in Avant, Internet Explorer or Safari and go to reach for a must have feature like Window Resizer only to find that it's not there! FireFox is now integrated into so many of my day to day habits and doings that I don't think I'll ever fully be able to wean myself off it even if I wanted to... and if it fell off the face of the planet I'm sure I'll feel like my middle arm has been severed from my body! © Mazeguy

MozBackup It's strange how you become accustomed to, and expect all programs to have the features that you always wanted but were never able to find, or never even had a use for before but that's exactly what happend and I ended up slapping FireFox on not only my notebook but also my Mac as well and I was as happy as a pig in warm pool mud with a duck on it's back.... right up until I figured out that I was running the same (or all) extensions on each setup and that my bookmarks were now scattered everywhere. © Mazeguy

On and off I've watched the FireFox postings at our WackyB.com forum but I never really paid a great deal of attention to them as at the time I wasn't using FireFox... full credit goes to thebig429 for converting me as it was his posting and updates to the Firefox 1.5 Released thread that finally grabbed my attention. When I was started wallowing in extension and bookmark confusion, heading back to our WackyB.com forum seemed a logical solution... if they didn't know how to solve my problem then no one would... you have to love the guys at our forum... whit, charm and good looks aside © Mazeguy they are true gems at stepping up to the plate and digging up whatever you need from the far corners of the net © Mazeguy

I posted for help firefox fans...please lend a hand... i need it :D and they came to my rescue © Mazeguy kz_the_seeker posted (here) to tell me about MozBackup and then thebig429 chipped in to say he used it too... so I trotted off to http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/ to grab myself a copy.

MozBackup is an awesome little (freeware) progam (can be run under Windows 98 / ME / NT / 2000 / XP / 2003) and it works with not only FireFox but also Thunderbird (and Mozilla Suite, SeaMonkey and Netscape), my hopes were building as it supported the backup and restoration of bookmarks and extensions (amoung other things), I was a little concerned upon reading the supported extensions, but in the end decided I couldn't be worse off than I was at the time so I went for it... and I haven't looked back since © Mazeguy

MozBackup is without doubt, essential for single FireFox users as a backup and restore facility but don't overlook it's awesome ability to streamline all your copies of FireFox if you run it on more than one PC... it's simple to use, super fast and does a brilliant job, you won't be disappointed © Mazeguy
