Ctrl+v bites the dust
WackyB.co.nz generally only requires minor edits, usually when an Instant Messenger version is updated, so I do these "on the fly" by editing the page directly from my browser... the lazy gals way 
I used to be able to do this quickly and easily in Avant but something spat the dummy and IE rejects any and all attempts at using Joomla's edit button... grrrr! 
Without fail it will constantly throw up...
Not wanting to be beaten by a browser, I 
'd at IE and shot straight to Firefox... only to find I was faced with a similar error message....

so hit OK I did....
and tried to follow the instructions it produced...

Fat lot of good that did me, I have, and don't ask me how, multiple versions of prefs.js and user.js, far to many to even consider working my way through, so I exercised a bit of foot stomping until Andy asked me what was wrong, my response went something like this "...am just try to edit my *&^%$# site, should be ^%$#@! simple shouldn't it??! but nupe! freaking avant gives me lip and dang firefox shows it's hefty rear end gives me this *&^%$# error message... and I have more of the %$#@! files that it tells me to edit than you can shake a wet stick at... &^%$#@ !

Shift+Insert
which allows me to paste directly into my page
