I'm behind the Uglydoll times...

... what are they you ask?

To quote directly from wikipedia.org:Uglydolls

"Uglydolls are a collection of designer toys created by independent toy designers David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim. Uglydolls were first released in 2002, and are distinguished by an aesthetic that balances traditional cuteness with ugliness. In 2006, Uglydolls were awarded the Specialty Toy of the Year award by the Toy Industry of America.

The first commercially available Uglydolls were 12" plush, handmade by Sun-Min Kim in 2002; since then, 7" Little Uglys, 24" Giant Uglys, 4" plush keychains, and 7" vinyl Uglys have been introduced. Although the plush dolls are still handmade, their production has been moved to mainland China. As they are handmade, each doll features slight variations, enhancing the appearance of uniqueness. Each doll also includes a small tag describing the character's distinctive persona."

Generally I'm not big on designer anything...apart from my LianLi aquarium case (of course!) which to me is "designer geek" ;)

So I was a little taken aback when I fell in love with UglyDolls after I stumbled across them last week at 3wisemonkeys.co.nz:uglydolls (no clue how I ended up there) but as soon as I have a spare NZ$38 I will grabbing myself a TooDee!

They also come as Key Chaisn / Clip Ons but I can't seem to track these down in NZ...
will keep looking / searching though :)
